How do I set up parking automation?
Open Settings → Automatic parking setup in ParkPin. Choose CarPlay or Bluetooth and follow the illustrated steps in Shortcuts. Select disconnection and immediate execution, then add Ask to record parking. The question asks before saving; it is not a background auto-save. You only need the automation for the connection you use.
What if I park underground without GPS?
You can still save and view parking details. After choosing Record, select a saved place or a new place when location is unavailable. If there is only one saved place, it is selected for you. An assigned spot has a final save button; for a different spot each time, choose a floor and add today’s number, note or photo.
What happens with more than one car?
Starting a record from the Now tab keeps the selected car. If an automation has no specified vehicle and you have several, choose the car after tapping Record. Saving updates only that car. Use Departure in the app when you want to end parking explicitly.
Why is the parking question missing?
While ParkPin is open, the question appears inside the app. An open editor or another sheet can delay it until you close that screen. Outside the app, check Live Activities and notifications in ParkPin’s Settings → Permissions, and check Focus separately in iPhone settings. Live Activities need their own system permission. A local notification is used if a Live Activity cannot be shown.
How do I change a saved parking location?
Use Edit on the parking card to change the record, including its map location, floor, notes or photos, then save. In a map picker, you can search for an address or building, select a point or request your current location. Search needs a connection. Saved records are not silently updated when you move.
Does a backup include photos?
Yes. Settings → Export a backup creates a JSON file containing the photos stored by ParkPin, records, vehicles and places. Keep it somewhere safe and use Import a backup to restore it. A saved photo can be a resized copy; this is not a backup of your entire iPhone photo library. The export is not password-protected.
Does importing overwrite my existing parking?
Existing IDs are skipped. A vehicle’s current parking is restored when it has no current record; if it is already parked, the imported record is kept as ended instead of replacing the current one. Older version 1 backups do not contain photo data. Check the import result for missing photos.
How can I get help or request a refund?
Contact support in the app opens an editable email draft to park-pin@moneymoa.net with useful app and device details. Review it and send it yourself. For purchase or refund issues, contact Apple.
